1600 MiniG Tissue Homogenizer

The 1600 MiniG® from SPEX is the ideal solution for laboratories that want a compact but powerful tissue homogenizer and cell lysis.

It is equipped with an adjustable clamp that can accommodate a full range of sample vials from 2 ml to 50 ml centrifuge tubes or up to two Deep-Well titer plates. It is specially designed for rapid cell disruption, cell lysis and tissue homogenization by Bead Beating, allowing rapid and efficient extraction of nucleic acids, proteins and other molecules of interest.

• Automated Mechanical Disruption by Bead Beating. Ideal for high-throughput cell lysis applications including DNA/ RNA extraction, protein extraction and pesticide residue analysis;
• The window in the lid allows you to see the grinding process;
• Comes with an adjustable clamp that allows users to secure vials or titer plates of different sizes;
• The lid has a safety switch that stops the motor if the lid is opened during the grinding process;
• Optional Kryo-Tech® accessories allow cryogenic grinding and preserve temperature-sensitive samples for RNA and protein extractions;
• The LCD display shows running times in minute : second format;
